TFMC Meatballs for Missions Auction

Join the Thomasville First Methodist Church Mission Team on Friday, March 8, for the 2nd Annual Meatballs for Missions Dinner and Auction.  It promises to be an awesome event benefitting the 2024 Thomasville First Methodist Guatemala Mission Team, an ongoing ministry God has called us to in Guatemala. In 2023 God used our church to provide a classroom to our sponsored village called Tasharte. This year God is providing a clean water source for the whole village!

MISSION BENEFIT & AUCTION

The 2nd annual Meatballs for Missions event will send a team of 28 people from our Thomasville First Methodist to Guatemala this June to continue to proclaim the Good News of the Gospel.

  • WHEN: Friday, March 8 in the Fellowship Building. Doors open at 5pm, dinner served at 5:30pm.

  • Where:  Thomasville First Methodist Church, 425 N. Broad Street, Thomasville, Georgia

  • COST: FREE! Donations for spaghetti dinner accepted.

  • WHAT: Silent Auction and Guest Speaker

  • WHO: We will hear from Thomasville native, Amy Boland Hauser, as she shares her story. One of the things you will hear is how God healed her marriage to Emmy Award winning actor, Paul Hauser.

In June of 2023, Thomasville First Church sent a team of 27 on the inaugural mission trip to the newly sponsored village in Guatemala.  The team was able to visit the village as well as work in the various ministries on the Hope Of Life campus in Zacapa.  Team members visited homes, played with children, gifted families with multi-tools, work gloves, plus hygiene and first aid items.  They talked with teachers and village leaders to determine the most pressing needs for the community.  The immediate needs to be addressed are a clean water system and child sponsorship.  A dedication ceremony was held for the new school classroom building and playground provided by Advent Revolution and the Hamp Nicholson Memorial Fund.

Through Advent Revolution in December 2023, Thomasville First Methodist raised the $30,000 needed to install a new clean water delivery system in the village.  The next team of 28 people will be dedicating the water system this June when they travel back to Guatemala to continue building our relationships in Tasharte.  Your support for this team and this valuable ministry is greatly appreciated both by prayers as well as donations and participating in the auction.
